Symbolic links with smb:// shares on OSX

Samba - General mailing list
Hi,

Is there any way to have OSX clients see symbolic links on the server as
such, without having to resort to "cifs://" to force the old protocol,
which seemingly activates the old unix extensions and handles this
correctly (but leaves many optimizations made with the new protocol
behind..)?

Best Wishes,

TIA

Lorenzo
